Green Season

The weather in Banaue is very cool, even during the summer months you can expect the average temp to be in the mid 80 degrees fahrenheit. Depending on the month of your travel dates, the Banaue Rice Terraces will look quite differently, for example if you want to see the rice terraces at the greenest, after all the rice has been planted, and has started to grow, then we suggest going to Banaue during the months of February to June.

Dry Season

Now if you prefer to see the Banaue Rice Terraces during the golden period, then visiting during the months of July to August is suggested. During these months the weather is a bit dryer, and harvesting time is near, so the rice will start to turn a golden yellow color, again it depends on what you prefer to see, but this can make for some nice pictures.

Harvesting Season

Harvesting time for the Banaue Rice Terraces begins in September and goes on through to January, this is also a very exciting time to visit, as you will see hundreds of farmers and their family members in the rice fields working. As you watch the farmers harvest the rice, you cannot help but to have a nice appreciation for the rice that you eat.

Banaue Rainy Season

During the rainy season in Banaue the weather is also cool, however there are some cautions to be recognized, during the rainy seasons many of the roads that take tourist in and around the Banaue Rice Terraces are to be traveled with extreme care, as from time-to-time there are mud slides. The rainy season is generally from July to August, however rain and cloudy sky's can be expected until January.
